We Will Rock You With One Night of Queen at the CCPA on Sat., February 17, 8:00 PM

CERRITOS, CA – The Show Must Go On indeed when ONE NIGHT OF QUEEN pays tribute to the stage theatrics and music of the legendary Rock band, bringing back to life the group’s electrifying energy and timeless hits. Tickets start at $55 for the concert, scheduled for 8:00 PM at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Saturday, February 17.

In the 1970s, Hard Rock band Queen shattered music charts with a flurry of hits, including We Are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, and We Will Rock You. On stage, the English quartet was widely known for its theatrics (smoke bombs and flash pots) and flamboyant lead singer Freddie Mercury’s over-the-top pomp and glam persona.

Queen delivered eight Gold and six Platinum records, including The Game, which was the group’s first No. One album in the United States. The record featured the Rockabilly hit Crazy Little Thing Called Love and the Disco song Another One Bites the Dust. Queen was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

The tribute One Night of Queen celebrates the timeless music of the group that was named to VH1’s “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock” with a slew of the band’s mega hits, including Killer Queen, You’re My Best Friend, Radio GaGa, and Under Pressure. Gary Mullen portrays the eclectic, larger-than-life Mercury. Other members of the tribute band include Jon Halliwell, Malcolm Gentles, and David Brockett. The group has played at London’s Hyde Park as part of the prestigious BBC Proms concert series.
