Dire Straits Legacy Tour 2023 Shakes Up the CCPA on Sun., September 17, 7:00 PM

CERRITOS, CA – Dire Straits was called “the biggest British rock band of the ’80s” by Classic Rock magazine. Relive the music and the magic with DIRE STRAITS LEGACY TOUR 2023, coming to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Sunday, September 17, 7:00 PM. Tickets start at $35 for this Director’s Pick show.

Known for its bluesy, guitar-driven sound, Dire Straits collected accolades worldwide and picked up a slew of awards along the way, including four Grammys, two Brit Awards for “Best British Group,” and MTV Video Music Awards. The band sold more than 120 million albums globally and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.

Dire Straits Legacy revives the band’s iconic music, performed by musicians who recorded and toured with Dire Straits more than 30 years ago. Keyboardist Alan Clark, guitarist Phil Palmer, percussionist Danny Cummings, saxophonist Mel Collins, and Jack Sonni celebrate the legendary act’s notable works, which include the albums Making Movies, Love Over Gold, and the Grammy-winning Brothers in Arms, which showcases the hit singles Money for Nothing and Walk of Life.

Drawing from six Platinum albums, Dire Strait Legacy’s live shows features Dire Straits’ biggest hits, including Sultans of Swing, Romeo and Juliet, Tunnel of Love, Private Investigations, and Twisting by the Pool.
