CCPA Presents Tower of Power Holiday & Hits on Sun., December 17, 7:00 PM

CERRITOS, CA – Gear up for the holidays with hits from the R&B-based Tower of Power at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Sunday, December 17, 7:00 PM. Tickets for this Director’s Pick show start at $49. A $1 fee per ticket will be donated to charity of Tower of Power’s choosing.

Creating a unique brand of groove that can be described as Urban Soul music, TOWER OF POWER has wowed generations of fans with the Billboard-charting You’re Still a Young Man, So Very Hard to Go, What Is Hip?, and Don’t Change Horses (in the Middle of a Stream).

Tower of Power, known for its iconic horn-led Funk and Soul sound, is celebrating 55 years of touring. HOLIDAY & HITS will feature the fan-loving chart-topping songs with a dusting of select holiday classics.                                                                                      

East Bay Grease defined the ensemble’s sound and landed Tower of Power with Warner Brothers. Bump City was a hit on both the Billboard 200 and the R&B Albums chart, powered by the hits You’re Still a Young Man and Down to the Nightclub. The ’70s were a boom period with radio classics like So Very Hard to Go and What Is Hip?

The band has played with legendary artists Otis Redding, Elton John, Santana, the Grateful Dead, John Lee Hooker, Aerosmith, and Bonnie Raitt.
