CCPA Presents The Simon & Garfunkel Story on Thu., March 28, 7:00 PM; Fri., March 29, 8:00 PM; and Sat., March 30, 2:00 PM & 8:00 PM

CERRITOS, CA – BBC Radio 2 called The Simon & Garfunkel Story “amazing.” The internationally acclaimed production will criss-cross the United States, stopping at more than 50 cities, including Cerritos on Thursday, March 28 at 7 P.M.; Friday, March 29 at 8 P.M.; and Saturday, March 30 at 2 P.M. and 8 P.M. at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA). Tickets start at $49 for this Broadway Series performance.

THE SIMON & GARFUNKEL STORY chronicles the amazing journey shared by the iconic Folk-Rock partnership of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. The immersive concert-style theater staging tells the story from the duo’s humble beginnings to its climb toward global dominance as one of the best-selling music acts of the 1960s to their dramatic split in 1970. The show culminates with the pair’s The Concert in Central Park reunion, which drew more than half a million fans in 1981.

The Simon & Garfunkel Story uses state-of-the-art video projection, photos, and original film footage. It features a full live band performing all of the pair’s hits, including The Sound of Silence, Mrs. Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, and more.

Throughout the course of its career, the duo sold more than 100 million albums, won 10 Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. In 1977, the Brit Awards honored Simon & Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water album with the “Best International Album” distinction. In 2003, the twosome was recognized with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. The following year, The Sound of Silence scored a Grammy Hall of Fame Award.
