CCPA Jams to I Love the 90’s Tour Featuring Vanilla Ice, Rob Base, Tone Lōc, Young MC, and C+C Music Factory on Fri., December 1, 8:00 PM

CERRITOS, CA – Take a trip back to the past and get ready to bust a move when the I LOVE THE 90’S TOUR heads to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Friday, December 1, 8:00 PM. Tickets start at $69.

The I LOVE THE 90’S TOUR features a jam-packed lineup, featuring the era’s biggest acts, that takes audiences back to the thrilling trend-setting decade, starting with icon VANILLA ICE, who exploded onto the 1990s Rap/Pop music scene with the No. One Billboard song Ice Ice Baby. The Grammy-nominated rapper, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, followed with another massive hit, Play That Funky Music. He has sold more than 25 million albums globally, winning two MTV Awards and a People’s Choice Award. He has appeared in the movies Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze; Cool as Ice; The Helix Loaded; The New Guy; That’s My Boy; and Ridiculous Six.

Hip-Hop duo ROB BASE & DJ EZ Rock’s It Takes Two was an enormous hit, soaring to the Top 10 and leading to its album of the same name being certified multi-Platinum. It Takes Two has been featured in the critically acclaimed movies The Proposal, Love & Basketball, and The Sisters. Two other singles on the album made it to the Top 10 spot: Joy and Pain and Get on the Dance Floor (which also reached No. One on the Dance music chart). Base’s solo album The Incredible Base was certified Gold and produced the hits Turn It Out (Go Base) and Get Up and Have a Good Time.

The first rapper to be nominated for a “Best New Artist” Grammy in 1989, TONE LŌC soared into stardom with Wild Thing and Funky Cold Medina, which scored a Grammy nod for “Best Rap Performance.” Both songs were collaborations with YOUNG MC. Lōc’s album Loc-ed After Dark became the second Rap release ever to top the Pop charts and one of the most popular of all time. The rapper’s popularity also broadened with his roles in the movies Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Heat, Poetic Justice, Freedom Strike, Spy Hard, Blank Check, and many more. He has performed with music’s bigwigs, including ‘N Sync, Britney Spears, Destiny’s Child, Boyz II Men, Naughty by Nature, and Coolio.

Marvin Young made his debut as Young MC on the single I Let ’Em Know. He cemented his status with Wild Thing, the first Top 10 Pop hit for a black rapper, and the follow-up smash Funky Cold Medina. Young MC later scored a Top 10 smash with his solo Bust a Move, which garnered a Grammy for “Best Rap Performance.” The song’s Pop appeal helped the album Stone Cold Rhymin' strike Platinum. The follow-up, Principal’s Office, was a humorous, everyday high-school tale that landed on the Top 40.

The multi-Platinum C+C MUSIC FACTORY got the world jamming with the global hit Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now), which was named one of VH1’s all-time “100 Greatest Dance Songs.” The group continued shaking up dance floors with other No. One Dance/Club Play hits, including Here We Go (Let's Rock & Roll), Just a Touch of Love, Do You Wanna Get Funky, Keep It Comin’, I'll Always Be Around, and Things That Make You Go Hmmm...
