CCPA Is Ready to Rock With Smash Mouth and Spin Doctors on Fri., October 6, 8:00 PM

CERRITOS, CA – Get ready to jam when Smash Mouth and Spin Doctors team up at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) on Friday, October 6 at 8:00 PM. Tickets start at $59.

Kicking things off for the night is the SPIN DOCTORS, the Alternative Rock band that rattled the music scene with more than 12 million records sold. The band’s explosive 1992 Platinum album Pocket Full of Kryptonite made fans and critics sit up and take notice. The group pushed further, securing its place in permanent music history with a Grammy nomination for “Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group” for the hit Two Princes, whose irresistible groove and scream-it-back chorus took the hit to No. 4 on the Top 100 singles chart and earned the song more radio spins than any other Rock ‘n’ Roll release in 1993.

The Grammy-nominated band’s acclaimed works include the gem hits Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong, Cleopatra’s Cat, Jimmy Olsen Blues, and You Let Your Heart Go Too Fast. The Spin Doctors’ acclaimed album If the River Was Whiskey proved its ability to constantly re-invent itself and its music, by fusing the Blues into good old-fashioned Rock ‘n’ Roll sounds.

SMASH MOUTH’s over-the-top Pop shook up the 1990s music scene with the hits All Star, Then The Morning Comes, Can’t Get Enough of You Baby, and I’m a Believer (later featured in the film Shrek). The Grammy-nominated, multi-Platinum group attracted attention with its early hit Walkin’ On the Sun and followed with the iconic double Platinum Fush Yu Mang and the1999 follow-up album Astro Lounge, which many consider to be Smash Mouth’s masterpiece, nearly reaching quadruple Platinum status.
